Advocacy Services

The SEN Advocacy for Recently Arrived Families project offers support to families recently arrived in the UK who have a child at a special school.

The Young Carers project, which ERC is providing in partnership with other organisations, offers support to young people 18 years old and under who are acting as carer to someone with some form of disability.

You can find out more about these two pr0jects via the menu buttons on the left of the page.

Health and Social Care Advocacy: Elfrida Rathbone Camden will shortly be offering a new service around advocacy for young people with disabilities, adults with learning disabilities and parents of children with SEN and disabilities.

The focus will be on accessing local health and social care services and also service user feedback on the quality, accessibility and delivery of Camden health and social care services. The project will offer service users opportunities to network and develop mutual support partnerships.

Project work will include:

  • Regular group sessions; which offer a space to be heard and to share experiences, concerns and views.
  • Peer support Drop-ins; focusing on practical support in relation to specific issues.
  • Face to face appointments; offering issue based advocacy for more complex issues.
